Into food? Like eating local? You might want to reschedule your trip to the farmer’s market on the weekend of January 21 and fire up your computer instead. The second annual TEDXManhattan will take place that Saturday with a focus on sustainable food, and you can stream the whole thing live. TED, known for its thought-provoking TEDTalks, where big thinkers of the world tell stories about their ideas, will help bring together a host of speakers, food activists, and future farmers to swap ideas. Never too early to start planning next year’s garden.
“I think the best compliment I can give is not to say how much your programs have taught me (a ton), but how much Marketplace has motivated me to go out and teach myself.” – Michael in Arlington, VA
