Adobe vs. Apple may end up in court

Daryl Paranada Apr 14, 2010

Things might get uglier in the battle between Apple and Adobe. There are rumblings that Adobe may sue Apple because the tech giant doesn’t support Adobe’s Flash. IT World is reporting Adobe may take Apple to court over the issue within a few weeks.

From IT World:

Adobe, the king of Internet video with 95% Web browser market penetration, is not one bit happy about being locked out of Apple’s lucrative mobile device market… Unless things change drastically between Apple and Adobe in the next few weeks, from what I’m hearing you can expect to see Adobe taking Apple to court over the issue. It’s not going to be pretty.

Flash is seen as a standard for streaming content on the Web, but Apple’s iPhone, iPod touch and now the iPad do not support it. Read our report on the battle between Apple and Adobe here. And for more coverage on all things iPad, visit our special collection.
