Net soaps!

People always talk about how Internet-only shows might someday make their way to TV, but in a case of reverse engineering, TV shows are being taken off the air and moved online. ABC has licensed the recently-cancelled and long running soaps "All My Children" and "One Live to Live" to a production company that will keep the shows up and running with new episodes. It's not yet clear what kind of production will be involved here, if the entire cast and crew will be retained for each program (or if it will all be performed by finger puppets) (which would all kinds of awesome and I would totes watch that you guys). But for the moment: crisis averted, mother can still watch her stories. Although now she's going to be calling you up and asking how to change the channel on her internet.
