Facebook: Making it easy to overshare, again.

Facebook is reportedly launching a new real-time ticker of everything users read online. And watch. And listen to.

Awesome. Now I can follow exactly what John Moe is doing every minute of the day.

According to All Things D:

Facebook users won't necessarily have to endorse or recommend something by liking it, or exert themselves to come up with a witty comment. They can just keep reading, watching and listening as they always have.

For those of us who sometimes read or listen to things that we don't want shared will all of our friends and colleagues, it's hard to feel more than lukewarm about the idea. But I'm sure I'm in the minority. What would people possibly look at online that they wouldn't want everyone to know about?

Hopefully Facebook has privacy controls ready to go this time.
