This final note today. In which the NCAA — the National Collegiate Athletic Association — reveals itself once again to be a bonehead.

Louisville, as you know, won the mens basketball championship in Atlanta last night. The school’s women play their final tonight in New Orleans. The NCAA did give a waiver this morning, which came too late, the school said.
