Project Glass project is a crazy project filled with crazy

John Moe Apr 5, 2012

We talked about this one on the show today and it sure got a lot of attention when it showed up yesterday. That’s because it’s absolutely BONKERS. Google has released a video of Project Glass,  – watch it here – a project that turns eyeglasses into a smartphone but without the smartphone. Calls from your friends come in and you see their face pop up in front of your face, projected on the glasses. Take the call and they are video chatting. Walk to the subway and you might get an alert that the station is closed and then an alternate walking route appears, then somehow you’re able to walk without smacking into a streetlight even though there’s a map in your eyes.

As exciting and weird as all this is, it’s a long ways off. Lots of technology needs to get developed and society needs to adopt even more horrible judgment than it has now.
