Turkey (the country) gets a pardon

This final note today, in which we learn once again that sometimes the news just falls serendipitously right into your lap.

Not only were two turkeys presidentially pardoned today, Turkey itself was spared  by one of the ratings agencies.

Fitch said it’s bumping Turkey’s outlook to positive from stable. The Turkish economy’s supposed to grow 8 percent this year, which, given the German and European news of the day, is at least something to be thankful for.
