But maybe everyone can just use Facebook for those jobs instead

John Moe Oct 21, 2011

The Department of Labor announced yesterday that it’s teaming up with Facebook for an online job fair. Job seekers can head to the Social Jobs Partnership page and find links to career building sites. As reported in the Hill, Labor Secretary Hilda Solis explains: “‘At DOL we have the content to engage, assist and connect unemployed Americans with employers. At Facebook, they have the audience, the people plugged into, on a large scale, on the World Wide Web.'” So a Facebook job fair. Not the same as a real fair, sadly. After clicking around some of the links, I found no bumper cars or giant slides, and my weight was never guessed. On the other hand, there were no signs of creepy either.
