The Oxford Online Dictionary’s got some new words

Tess Vigeland Jun 6, 2011

And this final note, brought to you by the words “ZOMG” and “Twittersphere,” among others.

The Oxford Online Dictionary added a good number of colloquialisms to its pages. We’ll let you look up “lappy” and “lifehack.” There’s also “‘roid,” “nekkid” — which is the word naked, just misspelled and with an extra letter. “Cyber Monday” made the cut, as did “bestie,” which I think is related to “BFF.”

All of which is, frankly, “NSFW.” Because nobody around here is going to know what you’re talking about.

We’re here to help you navigate this changed world and economy.
