Final Note

Spirit Airlines to charge $100 for late carry-on bags

Kai Ryssdal May 4, 2012

This final note today, which comes to us courtesy of Spirit Airlines.

Starting in November, should you need to carry a piece of luggage onboard a Spirit flight and neglect to pay in advance of arriving at the gate — that’ll be $100 please.

A C-note for each bag, which pretty much forced us to dig into our archives and pull this out from the Marketplace Players — check out this feature on what else airlines can charge us for brought to you by Rico Gagliano.

The radio show Rico does with Brendan Newnam is called The Dinner Party.

And let us know — what other charges do you think airlines have up their sleeves?
