
Iru Ekpunobi

Iru Ekpunobi is a former fellow at Marketplace, where they reported and produced first-person stories for the national series “My Economy” and helped shape interviews with host Kai Ryssdal.
Before getting into public radio, Iru was an associate producer at ABC News Podcasts, cutting tape and writing episodes for “Start Here” and “Reclaimed: The Forgotten League,” which received an Edward R. Murrow Award.
Iru was also a teaching assistant at the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies in Maine and first befriended the radio clock while hosting a very late night college radio show on WNYU.
