The world is in a swoon about virtual reality right now: the future of entertainment, education, tourism, video games, even journalism.

But at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, I detected something unexpected … caution. Hear developers talk about why they’re treading slowly, just in case virtual reality turns out to be another motion controller debacle.

Also this week, a little preview of Apple’s big courtroom showdown with the FBI, coming to a live Twitter feed near you on Tuesday, March 22. That, and dealing with death on Facebook, which is likely to become more and more common, right up until the moment the dead outnumber the living on the social network.
