Honda sales are up and the company says it expects to become a net exporter of vehicles from the U.S. by late next year. In other words, Honda could soon send abroad more cars made in America than it ships in.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports the economy added 195,000 jobs last month, edging out analyst expectations. The unemployment rate remained at 7.6 percent, the same as the previous month. Hiring in the retail and tourism sectors was up, while health care employment lagged and the government shed jobs.

From the mall in Washington for fireworks to the Grand Canyon in Arizona, visitors have flooded national parks this week. Despite federal budget cuts from sequestration, the National Park Service says attendance is up in 2013. But that doesn’t mean the cuts are going unnoticed.
