For Marketplace Morning Report, Wed., Aug. 31, 2011

The big month jobs report from the Labor Department comes out Friday, but earlier reports are already showing a mixed bag for employment in August. Maybe we just need more engineers? And oil giant BP has its own problems — from losing out a big deal to search for crude in the Arctic, to getting their Moscow offices raided by Russian officials.

And here are the songs we played:

  • I Am Trying to Break Your Heart – WilcoBuy
  • Alpha Beta Gaga – AirBuy
  • My Angel Moves Back and Forth – Four TetBuy
  • Blinking Lights (For You) – EelsBuy
  • Doctor Doctor! – Thompson TwinsBuy
