Wall Street responds to some mixed economic data, including an encouraging employment report but also high layoff numbers. The specter of another recession looms as corporations sit on a lot of cash, leaving the economy in limbo. Marketplace’s Jennifer Collins looks into the effects of a potential takeover of the Clorox company. And hackers from a single organization have stolen confidential information from 70 sources over the last five years — the biggest spate of cyber attacks in history, according to McAfee. Who could be behind it? Egypt’s trial of ousted president Hosni Mubarak may become a drag on its economy as people stop going to work. Hot, stagnant weather results in more air quality alerts. And finally, the crude oil industry in Canada may be creating U.S. jobs, but at what cost?
