Twinkies fans rejoice, Hostess to go into mediation

Hostess Brands Twinkies. Hostess Brands decided to liquidate its business after striking workers didn't return to normal work levels as the company management had demanded.

This final note today, which comes with my sympathies for those among you who went out Friday and spent hundreds -- nay thousands of dollars -- for Twinkies you believed were about to vanish from the earth.

There is news today of a possible deal between Hostess and its bakers. They've agreed to go into mediation to try to avoid the company being shut down at some 18,000 workers losing their jobs.

Wasn't kidding about the thousands, by the way. The highest sale price we saw on eBay? $7,600.
