In February, the Supreme Court ruled that the President’s use of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act to impose tariffs was unlawful. As a result, the government was ordered to pay back businesses for the import charges they incurred. Now, some six months later, many businesses are still waiting to receive their full refund.
Anne Robinson is one of those owners. She runs the Scottish Gourmet USA, a Scottish goods marketplace based in Greensboro, North Carolina.
“Marketplace” host Kristin Schwab spoke with Robinson about the pressures she’s facing as a business owner — from delayed tariff refunds to rising shipping costs.
