One way or another, you’ve probably come across Patrick Bateman, the narcissistic banker at the center of “American Psycho.” Whether from the wildly controversial novel, the Christian Bale movie or maybe in a bloody gif someone forwarded, you know something about Bateman and his murderous crimes, or at least his extremely vivid fantasies of them.

Now the Wall Street bad guy’s gruesome tale is being told in a new and pretty improbable way, a Broadway musical. Twenty-five years after the novel’s publication, the moment Bateman’s having right now gives us a chance to look at how Wall Street has changed since Bateman’s time.

Click the audio player above to hear the story, including an interview with “American Psycho” author Bret Easton Ellis.
