Quartz reports today that the average annual return rate for the exclusive Hermes Birkin bag has beaten the S&P 500 and the price of gold over the last 35 years.
That’s a legit data set. The bag costs $60,000 new, they’ve sold for $200,00 at auction.
That’s an average annual return of 14.2 percent.
Unfortunately, if you’re trying to keep your Birkin bag pristine enough to auction, you probably can’t be seen with it.
