This final note today on the latest estimate on the cost of cybercrime to American businesses. A study from McAfee, the antivirus and consulting firm, estimates cyber theft and crime costs the U.S. $100 billion annually

That’s actually lower than estimated in the past — but still a not-insignificant 1 percent of the overall U.S. economy.
