This final note today, in which Twitter gets hoisted on its own petard.

The company’s got a new app out, as you might have heard. It’s called Vine, and lets you post videos — as long as they’re only six seconds long.

Here’s the ‘oops’ part. The Internet, being the Internet — it didn’t take long for six-second-long pornography to make its presence known. Twitter posted one as an Editor’s Pick this morning before it was hastily removed. Apologies all the way around, of course.

We did our own Vine video Friday. No porn, though. Sorry.

We’re here to help you navigate this changed world and economy.

Our mission at Marketplace is to raise the economic intelligence of the country. It’s a tough task, but it’s never been more important.

In the past year, we’ve seen record unemployment, stimulus bills, and reddit users influencing the stock market. Marketplace helps you understand it all, will fact-based, approachable, and unbiased reporting.
