David Brancaccio and Jeremy Hobson Apr 23, 2012

The New York Times reports that Wal-Mart’s Mexican subsidiary paid millions of dollars in bribes in order to put its stores all over Mexico.

For more on the state of Wal-Mart in Mexico in the wake of this Times piece, we have Charles Fishman, author of ‘The Wal-Mart Effect: How the World’s Most Powerful Company Really Works — and How It’s Transforming the American Economy’ and current resident of Mexico City.

He’s here to talk with us for today’s Mid-day Extra.
