Oh man. When I said that we would keep you updated on rumors of the impending iPhone 5, which we call El Cinco (and encourage you to do the same), I thought I would only have to keep it going until June. But now it looks like El Cinco won’t debut until the fall or maybe even next year. Apple says its World Wide Developing Conference in June, which is already sold out, is going to focus on the iOS operating system and on Mac computers. This seems to back up the rumors that had already started to circulate early yesterday of a later than expected El Cinco launch date. It’s possible that they’ll roll out a small incremental improvement, like they did moving from the 3 to the 3GS, or do nothing at all. OR it’s all a swerve and El Cinco will arrive after all. Ah, see, now my spirit is broken.
