That the so-called mainstream media claims the Republicans haven't offered any economic plans doesn't make it true. And even if it were, having the government do nothing is a far better idea than just about anything the Obama administration or the Pelosi-Reid Congress has proposed or passed since they took control. But the Republicans have proposed lots of ideas, which are slowly coming to consensus---unlike the Democrats, policies tend not to be imposed by the leadership against the better judgement of the rank and file and without letting the American people weigh in. And funny you should mention the Contract with America; such a document for the upcoming election is indeed being developed.
