As head of Marketplace’s Washington, D.C. bureau, John Dimsdale provides insightful commentary on the intersection of government and money for the entire Marketplace portfolio.
I can't believe that John Dimsdale said that the Chamber of Commerce and the banks are opposed to a financial consumer protection agency because they're afraid it out prevent innovation that helps consumers, without stating that that was a quote from the Chamber of Commerce or a bank. Everyone knows that the real reason they object to a financial consumer protection agency is they want to resume defrauding consumers when the economy approves.
