ex-Goldman Sachs? I do strongly believe that Wall Street people are the stupidest & greediest of all and that they are not worthy of our trust.
If treasury secretary wants to honestly "save the planet" as you have said it, he should resign, ask W to appoint somebody wise and knowledgeble about economy and finance from Universities and not from Wall Street.
Greetings. Sorry for the delay, but re: Monday's show and the comments by the Dartmouth professor: I am totally confused by his comments regarding Main St bail-out over time. 1) the entire reason for the "stimulus pkg" was to have avg Americans help salvage the economy by spending the money received. 2) I didn't ask for such a government gift.
Re: the current law, Congress did well and went bust over the same issue. To me, this is the same vote as giving the power to GW Bush to "go to war". Rant, rant, rant about the fear, push the vote, sit back and reap the rewards. I don't believe for a second that the economy is as badly damaged as described. The stock market doesn't seem to be the best indicator of the health of the economy. The credit crunch has been described as due to the lack of confidence. Well,well,well with this administration, that should be NO surprise.
