Setting aside for the moment the issue of who inside the Vatican might leak a papal encyclical, it does appear that that’s what has happened. In the document, Pope Francis calls for “urgent action” against climate change and endorses biofuels. The official release date is Thursday, and Vatican authorities are saying the official text is still under embargo.
