So there’s been a lot of buzz about the vice president — soon to be president — of China visiting the U.S. this week. Yesterday, he was in Washington, D.C. talking to American business leaders. Today, he arrives in Iowa.
It turns out though, that this isn’t Xi Jinping’s first visit to the state.

Although the language barrier made it difficult to speak much on his first visit to the agricultural state (he was there to learn about U.S. farming methods) Eleanor found him to be a considerate and intelligent guest — who had a taste for corn flakes, apparently.
