Mid-day Extra: Mining for cars

Jeremy Hobson and Adriene Hill Jan 20, 2012

In the world of new cars, GM took over the top spot in the world today.

But more and more people aren’t going that route.

The average age of a car is actually at an all-time high, and the sale of used models is going strong.

So strong, in fact, that the high demand for gently used vehicles is really putting a strain on the people that sell them — so much so that they are now “mining” for used cars.

We’re here to help you navigate this changed world and economy.
