Facebook “Listen With”

John Moe Jan 13, 2012

Remember when you could just do things on your own without entire armies of loosely connected social network pals watching you? Ah, those were the days. By cracky. I like Ike.

Facebook has a new feature where you can listen to music with someone. If you and your Friend are both members of Rdio or Spotify and have those services linked up to Facebook, you can hear the same song at the exact same moment. So if I’m listening to Bohemian Rhapsody and enable the feature, you can hit the Listen With button and we can both start banging our heads at the exact same moment even if we’re half a world apart.

WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO DO THAT? I don’t know. Maybe it’s something these crazy kids are up to. These kids today with their rocky roll music and their Harvey Potter books and riding their Razor scooters.
