Yeah, I know, it’s the RC Cola of e-readers but Kobo is out with a new $99 ad-supported model. 6-inch display, touch screen, ads that the company promises will show up outside your reading experience. Kobo is no longer attached to Borders book store, chiefly because Borders is no longer attached to the mortal world. Of course, if you don’t mind ads you can get a Kindle for $79 these days and get fuller integration into the Amazon book store. No one is still reading this item. My typing is like a tree falling in the forest.
Marketplace is on a mission.
We believe Main Street matters as much as Wall Street, economic news is made relevant and real through human stories, and a touch of humor helps enliven topics you might typically find…well, dull.
Through the signature style that only Marketplace can deliver, we’re on a mission to raise the economic intelligence of the country—but we don’t do it alone. We count on listeners and readers like you to keep this public service free and accessible to all. Will you become a partner in our mission today?
