The Breakdown: What’s working in the job market from Marketplace on Vimeo.
Last week Marketplace host Kai Ryssdal and a small team rode the bus down Sunset Boulevard — 26 miles from downtown to the beach — taking the economic temperature of Los Angeles. We met a plethora of everyday Americans on and off the bus, seeing how people are engaging with the bad economy.
Riding the No. 2 bus from Echo Park to Hollywood, UCLA to Malibu, Kai Ryssdal met with students, workers and business owners — each with a unique perspective on the current economy. It’s not so much a snapshot, but a slice of the changing economy — a look at what’s working and what can work better.
