Question: I am interested in other options of Credit Cards that DO NOT charge a yearly fee! I have had my United Visa for years and pay 60/year. I put everything on my card and pay it off every month. I do use the airline ticket each year, it takes some doing…. lots of black out dates, etc.
Thanks for your suggestions. Denise, Credit Card Searcher from Fort Collins Colorado!
Answer: Well, boot up your computer and you’ll find out that you have a lot of choice, especially since you’re a good credit. Since you pay off your bill every month you’re less sensitive to the interest rate on the card (within reasonable limits). The fee matters more–and the perks.
I’m a fan of credit unions so I Googled for them in Fort Collins. The Credit Union of Colorado doesn’t charge an annual fee on its cards. There are probably other similar options in town.
You can widen your search by researching your choices at websites like Bankrate.com, Lowcards.com, and Cardhub.com.
Just for fun, I did a quick search at Cardhub picking a general consumer credit card, excellent credit, no annual fee, and miles–6 card options popped up.
