Google Images used to suck real bad

John Moe Jul 21, 2010

but I didn’t realize that until it was re-designed.

Sometimes you don’t realize how antiquated something is until it’s modernized. Google did a major update to its image search functionality. Now instead of pages upon pages of results to click through one page at a time, you get an ongoing, continually populated page of images. And when you click one, you don’t go to that horrible two frame set up they’ve always had, you get the actual page but with the image kind of floating above the page. It looks a lot better, which is nice, but it also makes you wonder if it’s a template or trial balloon for other search overhauls from the Search King.
