The scam David Lazarus and Tess Vigeland talked about is a “Money Mule” scam. This preys on persons who post their resume on line and eventually “hires” them for a job. Eventually they transfer money into the “mule’s” account by an ACH transfer with information from a company stolen via a computer virus. The “mule” is then pressured to pull the money out and transfer it by Western Union or Money Graham. The “mule” sends the money, and soon the victim account soon comes looking for the money.
