A Pew Research Center poll reveals that a majority of Americans want to see a debt ceiling compromise, even if it means passing a package that they don’t agree with. Commodities traders are feeling the first pinch as T-Bills are downgraded. Meanwhile, Britons are feeling wary about the amount of aid their country is giving to others. The Detroit Three are profits despite the economy. McDonald’s tries again to introduce healthier Happy Meals. Congress will be voting on a controversial oil pipeline.
