A Pew Research Center poll reveals that a majority of Americans want to see a debt ceiling compromise, even if it means passing a package that they don’t agree with. Commodities traders are feeling the first pinch as T-Bills are downgraded. Meanwhile, Britons are feeling wary about the amount of aid their country is giving to others. The Detroit Three are profits despite the economy. McDonald’s tries again to introduce healthier Happy Meals. Congress will be voting on a controversial oil pipeline. And Freakonomics Radio’s Stephen Dubner talked about his findings on the connection between paydays and mortality rates. Here are the songs we played:

  • Summertime Blues – The Brian Setzer OrchestraBuy
  • Burger Blues – Blue RadioBuy
  • Sligo River Blues – Joe FaheyBuy
  • White Freightliner Blues – Steve EarleBuy
  • Slow Blues – Wu-Tang ClanBuy
