Compost, even in an apartment

Matt Berger Nov 25, 2010

Composting is a great way to rescue all sorts of things from the landfill–from paper bags to food scraps. And, it’s doable even if you don’t have a yard.

For all of you with the dream of composting but without access to an outdoor compost pile–fret not. With a plastic bin, some worms, and a little work, you can turn your kitchen scraps into soil with the best of them.

It’s called vermicompost. Yeah worms!
