What are your financial New Year's resolutions?

Big or small, we want to know your financial New Year's resolutions.

On Facebook today we asked you all about your financial New Year's resolutions. I told everybody I was starting small this year -- like, giving up those $3.55 lattes at Starbucks. One of you suggested I'll only last a week.I think that was another latte addict.

Others offered their money resolutions, including: drink water instead of soda, eat out less, pay for more things with cash instead of plastic, and I love this one: get a promotion. That's from Carlos in Newark.

Carlos, let us know if it happens.

My only New Year's resolution that touches on the financial world is to stop listening to Marketplace. I love the content but cannot abide the reporters (Sally, Tess, Sarah, even Ky, etc., I'm talking about you) who all sound as though they are down at the mall with their junior high friends. Have any of you ever listened to a real reporter? You know, like Nina Totenberg. Get rid of the Valley Girl (something that never really existed but was simply manufactured by the media) and start talking like adults. Perhaps you are not aware of the Facebook chatter about the stupidity of your reports. You might check it out. Thank you.
