Company History

Target Corp. is one of the biggest retailers in the country with 1,699 stores.

In 1902, George Draper Dayton bought the Goodfellow Dry Goods store in Minneapolis, and after several name changes it eventually became Target.

After Dayton's death in 1950, the company began to expand. Dayton's son became president and led the merger between Dayton Company and the J.L. Hudson Company, opening the world's largest shopping mall in suburban Detroit.

After its success, Dayton Company built a mall on 500 acres outside of Minneapolis, which would become the nation's first fully enclosed shopping mall.

In the 1990s, Target became a retail giant known for offering style at discount prices. The decade saw the opening of Target Greatland stores and SuperTarget.

To the CEO of the Target Company Gregg Steinhafel

Dear Mr. Steinhafel

I have contacted your subordinates at Target with facts and evidence of the potential for injury from a certain type of product that is sold in high volumes in all your stores. Target has acknowledged receiving this information beginning April 1 2011 by your guest relations department.

As in the case of the CEO Howard Solomon of Forest Laboratories being held responsible for the sales of a product (Clexa and Lexapro) that were illegally marketed and sold to children, you as CEO of Target now may be also held responsible for violation of laws by continuing to profit from the sales of a product with the potential to injure children.

This potential for injury is from multiplied or accelerated toothbrush abrasion from extended use of certain types of power toothbrushes that operate in high speed spinning/rotating/osculating type motions, and do not have the pressure sensors that have been included in other similar operating type power toothbrushes, that may result in exposing the tooth dentin, which is one of the most intense forms of pain adults and children are forced to endure.

As the factors of toothbrush abrasion have now been established by the dental profession, while using a manual toothbrush, you need to comprehend and understand that any personal opinions from other dental professional’s who recommends a spinning/rotating/osculating type of power toothbrush and believes that they will not multiply damage to the soft gum tissue, while being used as directed, is invalid and will be overruled in enforcement of Consumer Protection Acts or Statutes.

Any expert witness company’s may site or bring fourth, as to the issue of any damage to the gum tissue that may happen while manually brushing that would not be multiplied per every minutes use while using these certain types of power toothbrushes, will become invalid and be overruled when presented with the established factors of toothbrush abrasion and the speed of their operation.

Any industry or child safety standards these spinning/rotating/osculating/types of power toothbrushes (without pressure sensors) that are necessary to pass before any product can be marketed or distributed, that company’s may site or use to attempt to justify the safety of the product will be invalid and overruled by the established dental profession factors of toothbrush abrasion.

I have provided several example’s to your subordinates of actions that have been taken where there was no formal recall of the product for your understanding that a recall is not required. These actions were taken because of known and established factors of the potential for harm, damage or injury of these products or issues. These examples of lawsuits and other actions are based on the known affects of a drug, of lead or cadmium and synthetic cannabinoids. The known affect and established factors of tooth brush abrasion will be the basis of the lawsuits or other actions over power toothbrushes that do not have pressure sensors and operate in spinning/rotating/osculating type motions at speeds that will multiply or accelerate these known affects of toothbrush abrasion.

This serious injury may happen while using these certain type power toothbrushes as directed, and with not having any control of this certain type of operating action that may spin/ push back away and horizontally against the soft gum tissue (other power toothbrushes operate in vibrating type motions that would not cause this damage.)

Any additional slight pressure while using these certain types of power toothbrushes that do not have the additional pressure sensors added to similar operating types, may have the potential to multiply or accelerate this additional factor of tooth brush abrasion, that cannot be duplicated during the same minutes use while brushing manually.

There have been over 60 formal complaints that I have documented as received by the Alaska Attorney Generals office (Department of Law) from concerned parents and others over these safety issues, which I can provide to you. These additional complaints show that people, who after becoming aware of the accelerated toothbrush abrasion damage from these certain type power toothbrushes, are willing to file these complaints.

This should also show you that I am able to continue to have additional complaints filed against these certain products until they add to a number, or the type of person who files these complaints, that will no longer be able to be dismissed or ignored. This may happen soon or it may take some more time, but if you do not now stop profiting from the high volume sales of these certain power toothbrushes, you may be liable for each and every one of these you sell until such time as action is taken over these facts, evidence and information that supports this potential for harm or damage.

Again I remind you that it is against the law for any company including both suppliers and retailers, to continue to knowingly profit from the sales of a product that has the potential to cause harm or injury and I recommend that you discontinue profiting from the sales of these power spinning/rotating/osculating types of power toothbrushes, without pressure sensors, so that your company or you personally as CEO of your company do not face fines, penalties or other actions regarding my continuing course of action over these certain products.

Please reply.
