PODCAST: Part-time plus part-time equals what?

The latest jobs numbers are a disappointment. And in Camden, NJ, one small doctor's office tries to make a big gain in holding down costs by moving closer to the sickest seniors.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports the economy added 162,000 jobs last month, falling below analyst expecations. The unemployment rate fell to 7.4 percent, its lowest level since December 2008.

Hourly wages were down slightly in July, but are up overall for the year. Many Americans continue to work part-time, and the latest numbers show their average work week took a hit, down to 34.4 hours. In Largo, Florida, 48-year-old Lisa Darcey has a lot of experience doing the part-time shuffle. Unable to find a full-time position, Darcey works two part-time jobs and is trying to add a third to the mix.

And in Camden, NJ, one small doctor’s office tries to make a big gain in holding down costs by moving closer to the sickest seniors.
