Thalía Menchaca is an intern for “Make Me Smart” from Marketplace. She's based in Los Angeles, California.
A recent graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Thalía wrote and produced a podcast episode about the state's book bans for the campus audio production house, The Drag. She has previously worked at the Voces Oral History Center, the Daily Dot and KUT News.
In her free time, you can find her exploring vintage shops in Los Angeles, watching sitcoms and obsessing over Taylor Swift. She also loves shopping around for Barbie (and Ken) dolls to add to her collection.
