Sarah Brugiere is the former East Coast technical director. She covered studio maintenance, audio engineering and basic IT support for the Marketplace New York and Washington, D.C. bureaus.

What was your first job?

Worked on my family’s apple farm.

What do you think is the hardest part of your job that no one knows?

Knowing each reporter setup (in New York and D.C.) and how to troubleshoot each one. Axia routing, and the knowledge of how our databases work with the servers.

What advice do you wish someone had given you before you started this career?

It will take a while for it all to make sense.

In your next life, what would your career be?

Traveling yoga teacher.
