It used to be easy for U.S. corporations to stay away from politics. Now, not so much. President Trump calls out companies and industries directly on Twitter or in summonses to Washington. It's hard for chief executives to ignore his prodding, invitations or policies. But when they do respond, they risk alienating their own consumers who feel strongly about Trump — one way or the other. What's corporate America to do?
