Celeste Wesson is the senior editor for the wealth and poverty desk at Marketplace. She also served as Washington editor for Marketplace, and for 8 years was the senior producer.
Before joining Marketplace, Wesson was the senior editor for The Savvy Traveler radio program. She also hosted and produced the United States of Los Angeles on KCRW-FM, a special series of one-hour programs about Los Angeles communities. Wesson also worked with NPR as producer of Weekend All Things Considered, as national editor overseeing the network’s domestic coverage outside of Washington, D.C., and as a reporter in NPR's Los Angeles bureau.
Wesson holds a bachelor's degree from Duke University. Born in Chattanooga, Tenn., she now lives in Los Angeles.
