Bike Oven in Los Angeles is a bike repair shop that doesn’t want to do any repairs. Instead, they want to give you everything you need to learn how to fix your bike yourself.

For his series “Business Envy,” David Brancaccio is speaking with places of work he might have ended up at if he wasn’t a broadcast journalist — innovative things he’s passionate about, and that includes bicycling and fixing bikes. So he visited Bike Oven and spoke with several volunteers at the co-op to learn why they do what they do (and see if he has what it takes to work there).
