Dow Chemicals settles class-action lawsuit for $835 million
Just in case the next Supreme Court Justice is not as friendly

The chemicals giant is settling a lawsuit predicting that the supreme court make-up won't be as business friendly in the near future.

The Senate will do what it wants with the vacancy on the Supreme Court, but businesses have bottom lines to worry about.
Dow Chemical said today it’s going to pay $835 million to settle an anti-trust case that’s pending before the court because of and this is a quote “growing political uncertainties due to recent events with the Supreme Court and increased likelihood for unfavorable outcomes for business involved in class-action suits.”
They spent almost a billion because a 4-4 court without Scalia, in other words, would be less company-friendly.
