This week we head to Austin, Texas. City officials want the ride-sharing companies Uber and Lyft to enforce fingerprint checks for all their drivers. The ride-sharing companies have threatened to pull out of the city altogether. Audrey McGlinchy, city hall reporter for KUT in Austin, joins the show to explain why city officials are fighting for these regulations and why the companies have spent over $50,000 to fight back.
