Is there such a thing as a digital sit-in or an Internet traffic picket line?

Many of our real world activities now live online, but here’s one that still coming into focus: civil disobedience. Twitter and Facebook helped organize the Arab Spring and Occupy Wall Street movements, bringing thousands of protestors to the street. But is there such a thing as a digital sit-in or an Internet traffic picket line?

Molly Sauter, a MIT graduate student who recently wrote an article about new patterns of online civil disobedience for the website Io9.com, joins Marketplace Tech host Ben Johnson to discuss.
