$20

That’s how much Facebook and Uber will comp users of the social network’s Messenger app towards their first ride using the two companies’ new partnership. Now, users of Messenger won’t have to leave the app to call a car via Uber. As BBC Tech writes, the messenger app has about 700 million users, giving Uber access to a huge crop of new customers.

$35 million

That’s how much Martin Shkreli, the man behind Turing Pharmaceuticals, claimed assets belonging to his hedge fund were worth. In real life, they were worth about $1,000. He was arrested Thursday for securities fraud. Shkreli has gained notoriety lately for dramatically raising the price of a $13.50 pill to $750. As the New York Times writes, Shkreli had been questioned about fraud charges before, but had dismissed them as untrue.
