Aereo TV, hot off the heels of not having an injunction enacted in a lawsuit “filed by Fox, Univision, PBS and local New York City affiliates,” says it’s expanding outside of New York city. Last week a judge told the company that uses thousands of tiny antennas to convert and re-broadcast over-the-air TV signals to Internet streams, it could keep operating. The lawsuit can, and probably will, continue, but so will Aereo.

Billionaire Barry Diller helms the company and spoke to Bloomberg about its future:

“We’re going to really start marketing,” Diller said yesterday in a Bloomberg Television interview in Sun Valley, Idaho, where he was attending the Allen & Co. annual retreat. “Within a year and a half, certainly by ’13, we’ll be in most major” markets.

So in 2013 you could pay $12 a month and be the proud owner of an Aereo antenna, about the size of a dime, transmitting such favorites as: local news, reruns of Dragnet, and Calliou to your tablet.
